We recently had the pleasure of working with the amazing marketing team at Westfield Carindale on a collection of pieces to support their new Springstallation. We had a blast creating these VIP invitations, gallery boards and digital pieces for this exciting art installation.
The unique floral masterpiece, designed by UAP and art directed by Kara Rosenlund, is on display in the high fashion precinct until the 28th October. It’s a perfect homage to our most colourful season, Spring!
These are beautifully constructed hyper-realistic hummingbird sculptures from cut pieces of paper by Jose Suris IV. Stunning works of art with impeccable detail on texture, shape and form. Make sure to check out his amazing masks and other paper interpretation of animals.
We’ve been head over heels for geometric shapes lately and it is nice to see it starting to emerge in the food industry. KYL21 is the reinvention of popsicles and a real masterpiece of avant-garde cuisine that’s both healthy and beautiful! It is a 100% Yoghurt and they even offer vegan versions. It was invented and developed by the designer David Marx, who is also the founder of The Kitchen Science, Berlin.
This could be the perfect addition for our record hot summer to come, but unfortunately these geometric yummies aren’t available till spring of 2014. Maybe next year.
If you’re Down Under, you’ll know that our Father’s Day is just around the corner! Sunday 1st September to be precise. And if you didn’t know, well, consider yourself reminded. To help y’all out, we thought we’d put together a little freebie DIY printable Father’s Day card for the egg-cellent Dads in your life.
You can download it, print it and give it to your Pops and you’ll quickly become the favourite.*
*We can’t guarantee this card will help you become the favourite. If at first you don’t succeed, try becoming/marrying a doctor?
We can’t believe it is Friday already, but this day is starting off very slowly. So we thought these prints of Emily Blincoe sugar series will give us the sugar rush to get us through the rest of the day.
We are loving these little instagram stop motion art by Rachel Ryle. Quite a new twist on using your instagram for inspiration and creative outlets. Make sure to follow her on twitter too.
Today’s Trending Tuesday is inspired by DesignLoveFest’s DIY fabric covered skateboard tutorial. It’s times like these I wish I was co-ordinated enough (and cool enough) to skate. Luckily for me there are plenty of other ways to safely rock the skateboard chic… Sunnies made from old skateboards should do the trick.
1. wood + aqua, atm & hess | 2. bec winnel | 3. sunglasses | 4. wall art | 5. coffee table | 6. diy fabric covered skateboard
We love this video by Aussie menswear hand-crafters and style-makers, Mister Mister. Sydney brides-to-be, check out their studio at The Rocks and style your Mister in his perfect suit for your big day. I know I just might!
P.s. there is just a little bit of swearing… Just a little bit. Ok, a lot… Pretty much the whole thing… Ok, the whole thing.
We’ve been rocking some new specs and sunnies in the office and we thought this is the perfect time to celebrate the good ‘ol glasses movement. We found this beautiful pinterest board with stunning examples from all over the world in all kinds of shapes and sizes to fit your daily mood or personality.
